Portuguese cracker (Bolacha Maria) dessert (Portugal)
INGREDIENTS:
1 can of condensed milk
1 packet of whipping cream
2 sheets of colorless gelatin
3 eggs (separate the egg yolks from the egg whites)
1 package of biscuits Maria (Portuguese crackers) crushed
In a pan, combine the condensed milk with the yolks. Stir and bring to the heat. Continue to stir to not stick in the pan.
After around 5 minutes, remove it from he heat and add the gelatin (melted in a little boiling water). Let it cool.
Beat the egg whites and beat the cream.
Add the cream to the mix, then add the egg whites (mix it carefully)
In a transparent container, place a layer of crushed Maria biscuits, a layer of the mixed, another layer of Maria. Repeat, finishing with a layer of biscuit.
Place in the refrigerator.
